Theresa’s Holiday Sangria

Last weekend Theresa, Sarah, and I had a Hunger Games marathon in honor of the release of Mocking Jay Part 1. We had good food, good drinks, and good movies. One of those drinks was a red sangria. Theresa had dropped off the recipe and ingredients ahead of time so I could make a batch with enough time to sit overnight.

After my first glass I decided this would be my drink of choice for Thanksgiving dinner, and probably for the rest of the holiday season. It’s super easy to make and absolutely delicious. Enjoy!

1 bottle of Spanish red wine
1/2 cup brandy
1 1/2 apple cider
2 honey crisp apples, sliced with skin on
1 orange sliced thinly
3 cinnamon sticks
Fresh juice of one orange
Combine all of the ingredients into a pitcher.
Place in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight to allow ingredients to marinade together.
Serve chilled with fruit.
