Atlantic City: Bachelorette Edition

IMG_0612Just like when Dianna became engaged, when Matt proposed to Theresa one of the first things she decided on was what the bachelorette weekend would consist of. I knew she wanted to do a weekend away and was pretty excited to hear we would be going to Atlantic City. You see, I have never actually been to AC or any part of the Jersey Shore for that matter. So not only would this be a great weekend away with the girls, it would also be a place to cross off the old Bucket List.

Theresa and her MOH, Heather came up with a pretty stellar itinerary. If you were to look “Bachelorette Party” in the dictionary, this weekend would be in there. We had just the perfect amount of girly things, typical “Bachelorette” activities (if you catch my drift), and a solid group of ladies to round it out.

After arriving around lunch time, we checked in and explored the (very foggy) boardwalk a little bit while we waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Now I, being the food lover that I am, was put in charge of finding the restaurants we would be dining at. Our first meal consisted of Happy Hour specials and Sushi. A perfect combo for our first night out.

Once we finished our sushi and cocktails, we headed to Caesar’s for some gambling. Basically we all just found a group of penny slot machines to pass the time and drink for free. However, Heather did end up winning a decent amount! For the Friday night activity, Theresa and Heather purchased tickets to a show, details of which will remain undisclosed. But I will let you know that we had a great time!

Saturday morning we headed to Borgata for brunch at The Metropolitan. We then spent the remainder of the morning walking through the casino and scoping out the Night Life. We were in search of a club where we could dance the night away. Harrah’s is within walking distance of Borgata, so we headed over there to check out the scene. Not soon after arriving did we fall upon Harrah’s pool where they host “Pool After Dark.” We had been given recommendations to check this club out and decided to give it a go.

The afternoon was spent hanging out in our hotel suite having some cocktails, snacks, and partaking in some Bachelorette Party games. It was a good way to get to know the rest of the girls and get amped up for the night ahead. We had a fun dinner at Margaritaville which consisted of, you guessed it, Margaritas…and of course delicious light fare and a girl on stilts making balloon animals and hats. She was pretty talented.

Then came the part of the weekend I was most looking forward to. All of the ladies headed back to the hotel to get dolled up and ready for a night on the dance floor. After calling a cab to take us all back to Harrah’s we ended up with a party bus to transport us in style. Once we walked through the “Pool” doors, we knew we had made the right choice. The atmosphere was perfect for what we wanted. The music was bumping, the drinks were flowing, and there were just the right amount of people to have an awesome time but not be too crowded. Needless to say, we had a blast!

Sunday, we had a quick meal so we could be on the road around noon. It was a fabulous weekend. I feel that every last one of us had a great time. The best part was, it was only two weeks until we would all be together again to celebrate Theresa and Matt’s wedding. Stay tuned!
